Doxinate G Introduction:

Doxinate G tablets are a combination of two medicines, namely Doxylamine and Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine). This tablet is prescribed for the treatment of nausea and vomiting related to certain conditions like pregnancy, motion or travel sickness, and before/after surgery.

Precautions While Taking Doxinate G

Your doctor should also know about all the other medicines that you are taking, as consuming many of these may make Doxinate G less effective or may change the way it works. Generally, it is advised to avoid alcohol while on treatment.

  • This is a prescribed medicine and should not be consumed more than the recommended dosage.
  • Take this medicine at a fixed time for better efficiency.
  • Take this medicine until the course is completed. Do not discontinue the medicine suddenly even if you feel better. 
  • Discuss other medications, allergies and health conditions with your doctor before taking Doxinate G.
Side Effects of Doxinate G

The side effects of Doxinate G tablets disappear as your body starts adapting to the medicine. However, consult with your doctor in case the symptoms persist. Some of the common side effects of Doxinate G tablets are:

  • Drowsiness
  • Lightheadedness
  • Dryness in mouth
  • Constipation
  • Blur vision

There may be ways of reducing or preventing these symptoms. It makes the skin more sensitive towards sunlight. You can either use sunscreen or wear protective clothing before going out.

How to Take Doxinate G

Doxinate G tablets have a special coating for delayed-release action. Therefore, do not crush or split the tablets. Swallow the whole tablet before food or after food at the same time every day or as recommended by your doctor.
